The Plant & Vehicle Marshaller is responsible for the safe guidance of plant and vehicles around site. Duties include preparing and guiding vehicles for movement, effective communication, understanding plant hazards and ground conditions as well as the work area set up and positioning.
On passing the course you will have achieved the CPCS Trained Operator (red) card, which demonstrates that you have been trained to perform all duties of a plant & vehicle marshaller safely and efficiently. CPCS is the most widely recognised construction card in the UK and the benchmark standard for most large construction sites.
If you already hold the 'Red' card we can advise on how to get your Competent Operator or 'Blue' card and for 'Blue' card holders we can advise on renewing.
Courses Available:
-

Operators are able to book just the test day. We strongly advise however that the candidate visits the NOCN Jobcards website to familiarise themselves with the theory and practical test requirements.

The Technical Test has two parts:
-
Theory Test – This is a verbal question and answer test which is recorded. This needs to be achieved before attempting the practical test.
-
Practical Test – This is a manual test to assess if the marshaller has achieved the required standard to be awarded the CPCS Red Trained Operator Card.
The red card, which is only valid for 2-years, is just the first step towards blue card. During that two year period you need to work towards achieving the relevant NVQ. Once this has been awarded then the blue card can be applied for. The blue card is valid for five years and is renewable.
