The excavator 360 is a heavy-duty digging machine that has the capacity to rotate 360 degrees on its platform which sits on a wheeled or tracked undercarriage. It's frequently used in landscaping, dredging, mining, pipework and forestry sectors to perform a variety of tasks including digging foundations, levelling land, movement of  heavy materials, demolition, land clearance and drilling.

The wheeled excavator is also known as the rubber duck due to it's duck-like appearance and bobbing movement when in action.  It has less traction then a tracked excavator and the smaller contact area of the wheels compared to tracks results in an increased ground pressure that can result in soil compaction and ground damage so are usually found working on concrete or asphalt surfaces such as motorways or indeed anywhere not suitable for a tracked machine.

CPCS A59 Excavator 360 above and below 10 tonnes endorsement will give the operator a ticket to operate a machine of all sizes.  CPCS A58 will allow the operator to machines up to 10 tonnes. Endorsement A is for tracked excavators and B is for wheeled excavators.

On passing the course you will have achieved the CPCS Trained Operator (red) card, which demonstrates that you have been trained to operate the machine safely and efficiently.  CPCS is the most widely recognised construction card in the UK and the benchmark standard for most large construction sites.

If you already hold the 'Red' card we can advise on how to get your  Competent Operator or 'Blue' card and for 'Blue' card holders we can advise on renewing.
