The Crawler – Tractor/Dozer, commonly known as dozer or bulldozer is found on constructions sites for jobs such as drainage works, excavating sewer systems, digging out irrigation, waterworks, demolition work, filling in foundations to name a few. The front mounted blade pushes and moves materials. Some have a ripper on the back to loosen dense materials. Dozers have excellent traction and stability on uneven ground and a powerful 45 to over 700 horsepower.

Main Training Ltd offers CPCS A34 dozer testing and training and testing at our Sussex centre for candidates or also on site using your own machine.

Achieving the required standard to gain a CPCS Card demonstrates that you can work safely and efficiently and it is the benchmark requirement for many large construction companies.
For the red card, we offer two courses:

Novice – This course is suitable for candidates with little or no experience. It includes a theory preparation session, a practical training session and is delivered over a 2 or 3-day period depending on the number of attendees.

Experienced – This course is for experienced operators using dumpers on a daily or frequent basis. It includes a theory prep session and then then test day and is delivered over a 2-day period.
Candidates are able to just book the test day but should familiarise themselves with the theory and practical test requirements. These can be found on the NOCN Jobcards website.
Pre-course Requirements
Delegates must have passed the NOCN CPCS or CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test which should have been taken not more than 2 years before the date of the technical test.

The test consists of both a theory test and a practical test.

Theory Test – This is a verbal test taken on a one-to-one basis with a tester which is recorded.

Practical Test – This is the manual test to prove your operating ability to ensure you meet the standards required for the CPCS Red Card.
Successful candidates receive the CPCS Red Trained Operator Card. The Red Card is valid for 2 years. In this time, you must complete your NVQ level 2 to convert the Red Card to a Blue CPCS Competent Operator Card.
We are also able to deliver the Plant Pro Operator Certificate / on-site training for the dozer. This can be delivered at your location or at our training centre in Billingshurst, for greater flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
